Church Building

Evangelism

In Tanzania, the Christian community faces significant challenges as mosques are being built in village after village, often where there are no Muslims, to intimidate Christians.

Amidst this growing threat, Dr. Barnabas Weston Mtokambali, a long-time ICM partner, felt a clear calling from the Lord to start a church that would also serve as a church-planting center. Despite having no initial support, he was determined to fulfill this vision.

We are so grateful to have partners like Dr. Barnabas across the world. Together, we are reaching nations for Christ and spreading hope faster than ever before!

You have helped ICM build over 648 churches in Tanzania.

Dr. Barnabas and his team began evangelizing and planting churches, but acquiring safe places of worship proved difficult. During this struggle, Barnabas met ICM Founder, Dois Rosser. Touched by Rosser’s humility and experience, Barnabas quickly realized the potential benefits of a partnership. In 2001, ICM and Barnabas began building churches across Tanzania together. See how the partnership flourished and the significance it has made in the lives of many Tanzanians.
